How do I go about designing a coin?
You will submit all artwork, We accept drawings, jpeg images, Adobe files and descriptive paragraphs. If you don’t have a design, no worries. Here at Pier 1893, we can help you create something unique and totally customized to your desires.
Do you charge an art fee?
There is a small $75 non-refundable artwork fee. This fee, however, will go towards purchase of coins if you decide to have your coin made through Pier 1893.
After design has been approved, what’s next?
After we have the thumbs up from you, you will be responsible for making the payment. Full payments are always welcome. At Pier 1893, we understand paying in full may not fit your budget. You can pay half of total cost of coins to get them started. After sample photo of your coin is provided, you will be responsible for paying the other half.
What is the average cost of a coin to make?
Every coin is unique in it’s own sense. So is the pricing for that coin. We at Pier 1893 strive to offer the lowest price for your coin. Several factors that determine the price of coins, including, but is not limited to size, thickness, shape, metals used, coloring, complexity and any other things that you would like add on like serial numbers.
What is the minimum amount that I need to order?
Normally, an order consists of 100 coins or more. However, you can place an order for 50, but realize that your unit price will be much higher than if you ordered 100 or more.
How are coins packaged?
We ship your custom coins individually packaged in clear PVC pouches with your company’s logo. If you prefer, we can package your coins in your choice of velvet bags, coin capsules or velvet presentation boxes instead. This will, of course, be an added expense.
After initial order, what is the turnaround time are re-orders?
Reorders will take less time to produce, as your mold is already done. It will usually take around 3 weeks to make your coins and about 1 week for them to ship to the USA. You will save money on reorders, as your mold fee has already been paid. Please contact us for quote.
Are coins guaranteed and what is the return policy?
All coins are guaranteed to be of the highest quality. Once you approve final artwork, coins are made off of the artwork. You must look over artwork very carefully artwork for spelling, fonts and coloring and graphics. If you do not catch something, and coin is made based on artwork, then you will be responsible for having mold made again. Attention to detail is very important. Now if you get receive defective coins, that’s another story. In this case, your coins would be guaranteed for replacement if they are defective.
Do you handle rush orders?
Yes, we do. However, just know that it’s impossible to have a coin made in 1 week. A normal rush order will be 4-5 weeks. Please contact us, to see if your circumstances warrant a rush order.
What Payment Methods Are Accepted?
We accept all major credit cards through Paypal and Square. We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express (AMEX), and Discover. You can also make payments via Venmo and CashApp. If you have Navy Federal Credit Union, you can conveniently make a member to member transfer as well.
Is Buying On-Line Safe?
Hyper Text Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is the secure version of HTTP, the protocol over which data is sent between your browser and the website that you are connected to. The ‘S’ at the end of HTTPS stands for ‘Secure‘. It means all communications between your browser and the website are encrypted.
What shipping methods are available?
We normally ship via USPS Priority Mail, but we can ship UPS, FedEx or DHL, if required. Higher rates will apply to UPS, FedEx and DHL.
Do you ship internationally?
We do ship to FPO/APO addresses. If not an FPO/APO address. We can ship to non FPO/APO addresses, just realize that shipping rates will be much higher. Contact us for more info.
